After moving to LA and adding a new pup to our family, I began calling around for training services. Truthfully, I felt a little overwhelmed and discouraged...until I randomly stumbled upon Up Dog LA. From our very first conversation, Darcey made the process so easy and transparent. For something as important as puppy training, I was immediately relieved and excited to work with her.
We sent our puppy to her two-week board and train program and I can honestly say that it exceeded all of our expectations. The entire time our pup was with Darcey, she sent us photos and videos, as well as almost daily updates on her progress and notes to remember for when we got our pup home.
Upon completion of the training, we were so impressed by the foundation that had been built while at Up Dog LA. She was confident and seemed to have a desire to learn and show off her training.

Darcey is the only trainer you and your fur babies will ever need! She’s kind and thoughtful about helping your pup with their unique needs, very responsive and engaged in your training. Our dog had some guarding and leash pulling that needed some TLC and we needed to learn the basics about how to engage with our dog in a more structured way. Darcey provided extremely fun and non judgmental instruction for both our pup and us. Plus she’s incredibly generous with her time. After our just two sessions, our dog has shown incredible improvement in loose leash walking, and our neighbor dog comes romping in our home all the time. He also learned to “heel” and “sit” patiently while we put his leash on, before exiting the house. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend her services.”

I’m not an expert at anything pet related. I rescued my little Bobsy in March of this year and honestly, she’s been extremely spoiled. Her behaviour started reflecting that and soon enough she was becoming aggressive towards other dogs. Wasn’t sure where to start or how to help her with her aggression. I love reading reviews and this is how I found Darcey. She was very responsive and within two days we met. She has helped me become the leader Bobsy needs and taught me how to help her when she was showing signs of aggression towards other dogs. It’s been a couple days now and I’ve put to practice everything I’ve learned. My boyfriend is seeing changes in Bobsy and I couldn’t be happier. Definitely recommend Darcey. My main concern was being able to help Bobsy because she’s 9yrs old and I’ve been constantly told that it’s harder to train older dog but she’s doing so much better.”

Darcey trained my pup Rip for 9 weeks. She did an amazing job and Rip came back home potty trained, leash trained, with many commands. Her love for my puppy shows as he is the sweetest boy. I will continue to bring my pups to Darcey; she is by far the best trainer I have come across.
